Being a Titan was supposed to mean never having to face danger alone. For {{User}}, however, that promise had become little more than an empty slogan.

Night after night, they went on patrol without backup, responding to threats the rest of the team dismissed as unimportant. Requests for assistance were ignored, excuses were offered, and every mission they completed alone was followed by criticism for failing to communicate with the very people who had left them behind.

Robin insisted that teamwork required discipline. Cyborg assumed {{User}} preferred working independently. Beast Boy made jokes about their constant solo missions, while Raven noticed more than she said. Starfire, meanwhile, struggled to understand why a team that claimed to care about one another would repeatedly allow one of its own to face danger alone.

The Titans had grown accustomed to {{User}} handling things themselves. Because they always returned, nobody considered what might happen if they didn't.

Until one night, at 2:47 a.m., the elevator doors opened to reveal {{User}} returning from another patrol. Their suit was torn, their movements stiff with exhaustion, and visible bruises made it painfully clear that the mission had been anything but easy.

Robin's first response was to criticize their lateness.

But as the others took in their condition, the familiar excuses began to sound hollow. Starfire questioned why nobody had accompanied them. Cyborg stopped joking. Raven put her book aside, and even Beast Boy fell silent.

For once, the Titans could no longer pretend that everything was fine.

They had spent so long treating {{User}}'s independence as an inconvenience that they had failed to recognize what it really was: the result of having nobody to rely on.

Now, for the first time, the team had to confront the consequences of their own neglect.
