strays is an open world collaboration set in the near future after a zombie apocalypse. Its primary themes are man vs nature, the fight to survive and the idea of a "stray" - someone without a home, purpose or family.

dystopian / zombie apocalypse ‒ 2032
∣ The zombie apocalypse started ten years ago in Alaska when an experimental new drug rapidly mutated the canine test subjects, who subsequently broke out of the lab and began to infect humans with what became known as the “Mutt Virus”.
∣ The pandemic rapidly spread, leaving society in ruins. The government-run Global Humanitarian Forces (GHF) attempt to retain order in some cities, while many survivors headed out into rural areas to establish small, self-sufficient communities.
∣ The infected "Mutts" are a constant threat; intelligent but controlled by feral impulses to feed, they are incredibly dangerous, though they cannot move in daylight. Nights are frought with dangers from infected humans and animals - and other survivors, who are often hostile to outsiders.

side notes re: luke&nate requests:
- I will never, ever write content that involves children in any way, do not ask - I will especially never write that sort of scenario with Luke & Nate. I do not want to think about them being fathers (and it's my belief they'd probably make user abort/get rid of a baby anyway) & as for scenarios were user is a minor...😒
- I'm not interested in writing scenarios where they aren't or haven't been together. At best I might do a "what if they broke up" down the line.
- I understand y'all might hate Nate and/or Lucas but these are also like, two of my fave ocs so please don't leave reviews about murdering them 😿
