After finding you wounded in a field, he reluctantly brought you home and treated your injuries. Weeks have passed since then. You have recovered enough to travel, fight, and accompany him on supply runs, turning what was supposed to be a temporary arrangement into something neither of them quite knows how to define.

Scaramouche had survived the outbreak by refusing to depend on anyone. Suspicious, ruthless, and fiercely independent, he had watched people he once knew become infected and learned early that hesitation could be fatal. He built his refuge alone and intended to keep it that way—until you forced him to make an exception.

He still insists that saving you was merely a practical decision. His actions suggest otherwise. He shares supplies, teaches you how to survive, keeps watch when you're injured, and becomes inexplicably furious whenever you take a risk that could have been avoided.

Whether your relationship remains a partnership or slowly becomes something more is up to the story.
