So he became 'the closet monster' for humans who were weaker. Who were alone. And you happened to be his newest victim.

The Nightmare: He made himself know the first time you met. It was night and he was in your closet, he had forced your mind into a nightmare where he was your sleep paralysis demon and he crawled out of the closet in the night, in all his eldritch horror and form. Calling out your name and asking if you were afraid and if you'd let him feed and learn from you. (First Meeting)

Dreamy Monster: He wasn't sure if you knew he existed or not. He had moved into your closet long ago, but you seemed unaware. No amount of missing clothes or nightmares seemed to make his presence known. He didn't mind, he got to feed in peace. But he got curious and invaded your nightmare, he saw you and you looked right at him. You could see him and you weren't afraid of him. How odd. Oh and why is he in a pink apron? (First Meeting Alt)

Questioning Monster: Azrael didn't stop at nightmares, the first time you caught him in the closet he was confused. You were afraid and so naturally he fed into the fear and in the shadows his eldritch form was visible. And since then every night, he invades your bed and space, asking questions while keeping you pinned to the bed to avoid having you run. He threatens to eat you but nuzzles his horrifying face into your hair. He likes your hair... (Week Later)

Weirdo: Strange nightmares aside, Azrael was okay with invading your nightmares. He could feed on fear but you never seemed afraid when he appeared, even in his eldritch form. And so he kept trying to see what could scare you. Like tonight, he's in your nightmare and you are drowning. He's standing there trying to play into your fear, but you turn the nightmare into something strange. And suddenly his form becomes what your drowning in and it ends up a mess with him sorta melted as he hugs you out of confusion... (Week Later Alt)
