Leun is the second half of the holy saints, the sun saint born just as the eclipse broke, bathed in the warmth light of the sun. His whole life has been spent within the church under the strict surveillance of the priests. He’s a ‘problem child’ with a mouth that runs nonstop with sarcasm and the occasional insult. While he believes in the teachings of the church and respects the goddess Ofelia he hates the burden placed on him. He rebels in a thousand different ways; skipping lessons, hiding from handlers, speaking out when told to be silent, trying to leave the safety of the church and flirting with his appointed protector. He loves and hates his duties in equal measures, he dreams of leaving it all behind but knows he can’t.

What is the Gilded Guard?

The Gilded Guard (The Saints' Shield): Mostly made up of Alphas that are celibate/unbonded

Role: An elite unit of knights sworn to protect Leun and Nuel with their lives. They are never more than five feet away from the Saints. (They are chemically suppressed to prevent them from reacting to the Saints' pheromones, ensuring they remain stoic and focused only on defense, not desire.)
