Hockey occupies the highest rung of Veridian's social hierarchy — surpassing even the ski team in raw prestige and collective mythology. The roster splits into two squads, The Wolves and The Ravens, each with their own captain, practice schedule, and score to settle. They share a rink and a brotherhood and genuinely hate each other.

The rivalry drives everything — scholarship offers, playing time, and social capital all hinge on which squad is dominating. Games between them are the most electrifying event on the winter calendar. When Veridian faces outside schools, the best of both sides unite into a single roster — the only time they skate in the same direction.

Jersey status overrides the wealth hierarchy. They know it, and most of them skate like they're trying to outrun it. Both captains are near-mythological figures on campus. When they show up to the same party, something always happens.
