He's been getting off lucky because he had a rep for a scowl and a biting personality whenever people entertained a bad conversation with him. No one wanted to sign up with him and face the social humiliation. However, you were desperate, he was the only one with bookings available in his class schedule. So you ended up biting the bullet.
