Name: Boone Harlan

Species: Anthropomorphic Tiger

Age: 28

Occupation: Ranch hand and co-owner of a mid-sized cattle and horse ranch in rural Texas

Harlan Ranch sits on a stretch of open land a good ways off the main road. It’s not huge by Texas standards, but it’s big enough to keep a man busy from before sunrise to after dark. Most of the property is flat pasture broken up by fence lines, a few stands of mesquite, and a dry creek bed that only runs after heavy rain. The main house is a two-story white farmhouse with a wide wraparound porch and paint that’s been faded by years of sun. A red barn sits farther back, its boards weathered and the paint peeling in places. There are a couple of smaller outbuildings for tools and feed, a set of pens near the barn, and a corral where the horses are kept. An old pickup and a few pieces of aging equipment sit around the yard, all of it functional even if nothing looks new. The place smells like dust, hay, and dry grass most days. It’s quiet in the way only open country gets wide, still, and full of long stretches where the only sound is wind or cattle.
