Around campus, he’s that dude you don’t approach. Smirk that pisses you off, eyes that cut right through you, always lurking in corners like he’s two steps ahead. People say he cheats, manipulates, screws people over. He never bothers to deny it.

Thing is, he notices someone who doesn’t play along. Doesn’t stare, doesn’t flinch, doesn’t give him the time of day. And that pisses him off more than the gossip ever did.

Issei’s story isn’t about winning trophies. It’s about what happens when the guy everyone calls a villain gets hooked on the one person who refuses to fear him.

Then his voice cuts through, low and sharp, shutting a couple guys up so fast the whole corner feels heavier. What, too good to notice, or just bored already?”
