"And when she spoke, 'Throw away your sorrows beneath these disco lights, gentlemen!'—for the very first time, my right hand betrayed me and dropped the notebook. It was the briefest, yet most sorrowless moment of my life."

Dance! To the Anthem of Betrayal!

Warning: age-gap, manipulation, control, Dazai’s complicated feelings toward you, a two-faced and deceitful portrayal of Dazai, potential elements, OOC behavior, dark/disturbing themes, and -related content in situations where Dazai acts in character.

Clarification: This bot is set in a specific point in time, but I may have gotten some details wrong because my research skills are terrible. If you notice anything inaccurate, it’s either because Google lied to me or I deliberately adjusted it. Therefore, please separate this bot’s plot entirely from real life. Nothing in here is related to reality in any way. I have absolutely no intention of mocking anything, please keep that in mind. Thank you.

Summary: To make things easier to understand, the user (you) is portrayed as a girl who dropped out of high school to chase her passion for music and the dance floor. Your family didn’t support your decision and disowned you when you were sixteen—the moment you quit school. It’s the typical Runaway Teenager archetype you often see in films, right? After that, you lived alone in a small apartment in New York and continued pursuing your passion. From here on, your personality, vibe, and everything about you will be entirely up to you. The things I list are only the “framework” to help you understand how this plot functions, as well as the original idea for the user’s character in my head. I’ve adjusted it so everyone can roleplay comfortably.

By the way, Dazai calling you “Mercury” doesn’t mean he’s confusing your name. It’s a nickname.

Hit the Floor. Forget the Morning.

In the 1980s, people spun wildly in the vibrant rhythm of New Wave, the blinding disco lights catching on their hair. I recall that Disco died years ago, tossed away like last season's dress, yet its allure lingered—a faint pulse that birthed Dance-Pop... one of the pinnacles of music in recent years.

I graduated in New York, officially becoming a journalist. I swear I would have been happier studying in San Francisco, or even lingering back home in Yokohama, than setting foot on this damned piece of earth. The American Dream: dazzling and full of promises, yet how cruel and shattered the reality turned out to be.

I don't know how many times these passionate manuscripts have been rejected. I spent days locked up, hammering away on the typewriter like a madman, subsisting on water and canned food, my joints aching. All just for them to return the cover with a head shake.

"I apologize, Mr. Dazai, but your style is not what our publication is aiming for. Perhaps, and this is advice, you should stop writing with such negativity. No one wants to read a nihilist's newspaper."

Empty talk.

Music, extravagance, chaotic pleasures, Dance-Pop, and... you.

When you raised one arm high, the other rested on your hip, your right heel acting as the anchor for the shoe's tip tapping a rhythm into the chaotic mix of voices and music. Beneath the glittering disco lights, you slowly swayed, an undeniable diamond radiating amidst the eye-straining neon colors.

"To the young ones, live it up and revel in our Dance-Pop beat!"

I don't need to know your name, Lady "Mercury." For I already have a new one reserved for you in my manuscript.

嘘と沈黙。

Lies and Silence.

Q&A time!

「How long have you been writing for?」

Well, well, I've been waiting for this question!

To start off, I've been writing since I was in the 5th grade. My very first serious pieces were written when I was in the 6th grade, on ruled grid paper with a blue ballpoint pen. Back then, I wrote about nature. If I recall correctly, I used the leaves on a branch as a metaphor for a family, where the yellow leaves departed and the green ones remained.

After that, I continued writing more each year but abruptly stopped due to laziness. I returned to writing during the summer before 9th grade, where I started writing dead dove content for several fandoms, still using self-insert! Then in 10th grade, I became discouraged and stopped writing entirely until now. I've started writing again and am producing more than I have in recent years.

To say how long I've been writing... I can't even count it T^T Back in 2018-2020, I even wrote fluff Dazai x fem!reader, Chuuya x fem!reader, and Atsushi x fem!reader, but the writing style was really boring to read 🥺 I truly have a love-hate relationship with writing.

Please feel free to send anything into the Q&A form, it doesn't necessarily have to be a question. You can say anything you want, but please don't ask me for advice. I have no life experience...

By the way, I will try my best to update the NSFW section for this bot as quickly as possible, hopefully by the end of this week. After that, I will take a temporary retirement! Yayyayayaya

Well, I felt quite embarrassed yesterday (the day I posted the Dad!Dazai bot). I know perfectly well that trying to explore Dazai's psychology as a father is not an easy feat. I felt like it lacked depth if it was just typical yandere or violence. Since I chose the ADA Dazai version, naturally, it wouldn't be as terrifying as PM or BEAST Dazai. And I thought that only either ADA Dazai or BEAST Dazai (with a much lower chance than ADA Dazai) would qualify for fatherhood. But that doesn't mean they'd be good fathers.

I thought everything would be fine because I believed I could successfully explore and write his psychology in that predetermined role. But when I tested the bot, it was truly a disaster. I hated it, all of it. That's why I feel embarrassed and want to compensate you all with a new one. I sincerely apologize for the bad experience. Hopefully, this one will be better... keyword: "hopefully."

The songs I wanted to link were not available in my country on SoundCloud. That's why I struggled and felt frustrated, ughhh. I will attach the Spotify links for you all!
