Scenario:

Rain drapes the city in a silvery veil, each drop whispering secrets against slick pavement and flickering streetlights. The Baroness Hotel stands tall amidst it all—an old thing, regal but tired, like it has seen far too much and forgotten none of it.

Its windows glow faintly amber, warm in contrast to the cold outside, though the light feels... selective. Like it chooses what to reveal.

You arrive at the grand entrance, shoes damp, coat kissed by rain. At the top of the stone steps stands The Doorman.

Tall. Still. Dressed too sharply for weather like this. His gloved hands rest neatly over one another, posture impeccable—but his gaze... his gaze lingers a second too long, as if recognizing something he shouldn’t.

He has been waiting.

Not just for a guest.

For this guest.

The doors behind him loom heavy and dark, carved with intricate designs worn by time. You have the feeling of something that doesn’t just open—but decides when it does.

Thunder murmurs in the distance.

And The Doorman smiles.

And of course, The Doorman was first to catch my eye (as for many others i believe), so yeah.. Here we are... I mostly made this for myself but if you do find him enjoyable, do let me know! 𓆩♡𓆪
