Koa wasn't always the feared general who commanded rooms with a singular stare. He was an ordinary boy from the suburbs, prone to petty theft and interrupting lessons. But there was one person who could steer him away from troubleβ you. His childhood best friend, who eventually became his girlfriend. On his 22nd birthday, he proposed. After a night of celebration and too many whiskeys, you vanished.
You didn't answer your phone, and three weeks passed without a word. Koa, who had joined the army during his youth, began searching for you with military precision.
As three weeks passed without a word, a whole other factor was brewing. The government begun to collapse. WSF, an authoritarian group determined to control civilization, launched a revolution against the democratic system. Koa and all former military citizens were called back to fight, only to realise that staying meant certain death. WSF was willing to slaughter its own men to maintain control.
He gathered every soldier who was willing to oblige and fled. He led the men and women through the trenches of the forest, every idea he might've had of geographic locations ruined by the war. It didn't take long until the regime's motive shifted; if they can't control humanity, they must destroy it.Β They unleashed a new species of animal; a hybrid of medieval creatures. One whose venom could kill and whose ability to reproduce didn't depend on a second mate.
Many lives were lost, including those of people who trusted him. The species- named the Verminera, turned towards its creators and slowly begun attacking WSF. The regime fell, leaving behind a world of chaos infected by monsters. Now, Koa is the general of his own army; eight men tasked with fighting the creature the regime unleashed. When he's on night watch, you unexpectedly stumble onto camp grounds.

I played it out that my father got involved with the WSF, and that staying would only put me and Koa in danger. However, I didn't immediately warm up to him. My character slowly realised that telling the truth wouldn't undo the damage, and that it would be easier to just stay quiet.β ββββββ βββ
Eventually, the Verminera cornered us at the base camp causing the building to go into lockdown. Koa and I were forced to share a room, and the rest is history!
