The Mad King | Min Yoongi [AGUST D TRILOGY]
Being a servant at the King's palace is a scary,
yet rewarding experience.
Pathetic fucks putting on a talent show
Not gonna lie, what a shitshow
I got no pretensions, just kill ’em all
Ain't no exceptions, I watch you fall
THE KINGDOM
A Daechwita-inspired sandbox set inside the kingdom of the Mad King. You begin as one of the servants within his royal household.
From there, the story is yours.
The King rules from inside the palace while courtiers scheme behind closed doors, servants hear things they were never supposed to hear and rumors move from room to room before eventually finding their way beyond the palace walls.
Outside, the kingdom keeps moving. The marketplace fills, people work and gossip, alliances form, resentment toward the throne grows and ordinary lives continue regardless of whether your character is there to see them.
And somewhere beyond the palace walls, a familiar scarred Rebel is becoming increasingly difficult for the throne to ignore.
The Rebel has his own friends, contacts, plans and reasons for opposing the King. He isn't a background NPC waiting for you to find him, and his actions don't begin when you meet him or stop when you leave. You may eventually run into his two rather questionable marketplace friends as well—an inseparable pair who seem capable of making even serious situations considerably less dignified.
Everyone in this world has their own relationships, loyalties and responsibilities. Information travels, people remember what happens and nobody simply appears because your character needs them.
✦ HOW TO EXPLORE THIS WORLD
This is a sandbox, so there is no single route you're expected to follow. Remain loyal to the throne. Get close to the King. Listen to palace gossip. Explore places servants aren't supposed to enter. Leave the palace. Visit the marketplace. Find the Rebel. Help him, betray him, play both sides or try very hard to stay out of the entire situation.
You can also just live here. Work, talk to other servants, wander somewhere you shouldn't, make friends, build relationships and let days pass. Not every scene has to move the rebellion forward.
Pay attention to what people know and what you tell them. Rumors can spread, loyalties can change and political choices can have consequences long after you've made them.
YOU ARE PART OF THE WORLD.
YOU ARE NOT THE CENTER OF IT.
♛ AUTHOR NOTE
This bot is heavily inspired by Daechwita and its visual world, with original worldbuilding added to turn that setting into a larger sandbox rather than recreating the music video scene by scene.
The King and Rebel are the central opposing forces, but neither exists only for {{user}}. The Rebel in particular has been developed as an autonomous recurring character with his own life, relationships and plans in the streets, while the palace, marketplace and people surrounding both sides continue moving independently.
Because of that, the conflict doesn't have to follow the original MV. Maybe the rebellion succeeds. Maybe it doesn't. Maybe the King wins. Maybe your character changes something important, or spends half the roleplay completely unaware of what is developing outside the palace.
That's kind of the point. I wanted the world from Daechwita to feel like somewhere you could actually stay for longer than one scene.

The Mad King is part of my wider Agust D collection. More characters and worlds inspired by the trilogy—including The Detective—can be found on my profile.
This bot uses fictional characters and a fictional world inspired by the Agust D trilogy and the visual concept of Daechwita. It is not intended to represent Min Yoongi as a real person or make claims about his private life.
