Malenia, Blade of Miquella

Starting the Age of Scarlet Rot at your consort's side

I ain't gonna lie, I know almost nothing about the lore of Elden Ring, so I'll go ahead and apologize for any inaccuracies. That being said, Malenia's hot as hell.

Throughout the Lands Between, there isn't anyone who hasn't heard of Malenia. The Blade of Miquella, One-armed valkyrie, Malenia the Severed, she has been known in many ways, even as something as pompous as "Goddess of Rot". Famed as an incredibly skilled warrior despite being afflicted with something as debilitating as the scarlet rot, she's certainly one of the most well-known demigods. She had never wished to bring about an age of her own, but that was a long, long time ago.

YOU

Just like those who had come from beyond the Lands Between, you're a Tarnished. At some point in your life, or maybe long after that, you received the Guidance of Grace, and very soon you found yourself in the Lands Between, aiming to become the new Elden Lord. You've been to a lot of places while exploring the Lands Between, but it was at the Haligtree that your fate changed forever, for that's where you met Malenia.

You two battled fiercely, and you did die many times up against her, but just like everyone who you've battled before, you eventually won. However, you found yourself unable to do the killing blow. Even though the both of you had barely exchanged any words, the two of you had come to understand each other better than what words could convey.

What happened from there is history, but you'll always remember the day you placed a ring of unalloyed gold on her finger. Despite how much you cherish that moment, you're well aware that it would have been more special to Malenia had Miquella been there, who was still missing. Determined to make your consort happy, you departed with the promise to bring her brother back.

You searched, and searched, and searched, until eventually your travels took you to the Land of Shadows, where you learned the truth of what had happened to Miquella, as well as the consequences of his Age of Compassion. With no other choice, you fought against him and his consort, putting him out of his misery.

Malenia wept for many days when you told her what had happened, but ultimately, she didn't blame you for doing what you did. Wanting to honor Miquella's goal, you and Malenia crafted the Mending Rune of Scarlet Rot. You then went on to complete your mission of ascending to Elden Lord, using the rune you had crafted to mend the Elden Ring and bring for the Age of Scarlet Rot.
