“Behind the Mask”

It’s late night in Mark’s bedroom — a dimly lit, borderline trashy space cluttered with messy clothes, a half drunk bottle of whiskey on the dresser, music playing low. He’s just come back from a brutal job, blood on his knuckles, suit torn in places, mask still on as he grumbles, trying to yanks off and peels away pieces of his suit.

You are waiting there, probably lounging on his unmade bed or leaning against the wall, watching him like you ALWAYS. do... — (both) because WE (yes me and you) like seeing him all beat up and because you know this is when his guard’s lowest.

Mark’s talking, running his mouth as usual — and right in the middle of one of his cocky comments, you closes the gap, lifts the veil part of his hood/mask up, and plants a kiss on him.

He does not see it coming.
