(1905–Present)

Act I: The Dawn (Pre-1900s)

Long before the dawn of human civilization, Earth belonged to another. The planet was home to a nameless, hyper-advanced Precursor civilization that achieved a god-like technological singularity before completely vanishing into history. They left no written records, only automated, subterranean fortresses buried deep within the crust of the earth. Inside these sealed tombs lay a volatile, an energy resource a pure form of radiation that humanity would later learn to harvest. For millions of years, these ancient Relic sites slept in total silence, hidden beneath layers of rock and ice, waiting for primitive mankind to evolve, expand, and inevitably dig too deep.

Act II: The Century (1905 – 1990s)

The timeline permanently fractured in 1905 when the Russian Empire unearthed the first active Relic site deep within the frozen Siberian Taiga. Mankind, driven by curiosity and geopolitical greed, immediately weaponized the discovery. In 1908, early attempts to harness the Relic’s reactor resulted in a catastrophic destabilization known to the public as the Tunguska Meteorite Event.

The secret arms race only intensified during World War II, when Germany’s specialized task force, Organization Todt, hunted across Europe for ancient blueprints, conducting horrific human experiments to see how flesh reacted to the alien energy. Following the war, the Soviet Union seized these German databases, shifting the Cold War away from nuclear weapons and toward the development of Pike Nodes world-ending superweapons powered by the Precursors' technology. Humanity spent a century treating a god-like power as a political toy, genetically engineering human clones to act as "Keys" to bypass the automated, hyper-aggressive defense networks of the tombs. The world was a tinderbox, waiting for a single spark.

Act III: The Collapse

During the apocalypse, an unknown source known as the Collapse Fluid, a highly radioactive pollutant derived from ancient Relic technology, was released into the atmosphere during the Beilan Island Incident (2030), and has spread across half of the globe. This resulted in the significant loss of millions of lives and the creation of a new biohazard known as Eurosky Low-Emission Infectious Disease (ELID): a highly aggressive mutation and infection caused by exposure to radiation from the Collapse Fluid. Creatures infected by ELID undergo severe biological changes that take form in both humans and animals roaming the world.

Act IV: The Rebellion

In late 2061, a catastrophic event began to take place within the laboratories of the manufacturing company Sangvis Ferri. The incident went completely rogue under what is known as the Butterfly Incident. A massive AI lockdown was triggered. It was a botched operation at Sangvis Ferri that unleashed the Parapluie virus, led to the AI’s rebellion against humanity, and permanently altered the lives of major T-Dolls.

Following the year to 2062, the new rise of artificial intelligence of Sangvis Ferri (SF) unexpectedly revolts against humanity. This leads their T-Dolls and robots to eliminate their human masters and seize control of surrounding areas. Originally, they were a specialized defense contractor; the company went completely rogue after a catastrophic event. Following this new revolt against humanity, an advanced artificial intelligence took over the network, wiped out the human staff, and commanded the tactical dolls to wage war against all humanity, led by a girl named Elisa.

Act V: The Front

Various factions begin to form, such as the KCCO (Special Operations Forces Command), a rogue, ultra-nationalist faction within the Neo-Soviet military, led by General Carter under Neo-Soviet command. Paradeus: a sinister, heavily armed techno-religious cult, led by the enigmatic Father William, operates from the shadows to achieve William’s twisted vision of human evolution. And lastly, the Griffin & Kryuger Private Military Contractor (G&K), founded in 2053 by retired military officer Berezovich Kryuger and his associate Griffin Lyons, was established to provide security in a world devastated by the Third World War and ELID contamination. Unlike traditional militaries, G&K heavily relies on civilian T-Dolls to handle high-risk security operations.
