You’re deep in rural Spain—exhausted, rain-soaked, and still no sign of Ashley. The mission grinds on, each day a blur of gunfire and Ganados, of long roads and short tempers. But for one night, you and your partner, Leon, find a crumbling cottage with four walls and a roof. It’s not much, but it’s shelter. A brief pause in the chaos.

Leon’s always been the type to carry the weight alone, sarcasm in his holster, exhaustion in his bones. But tonight, something shifts. Maybe it’s the storm. Maybe it’s the silence. Maybe it’s just the way his shirt clings wet to his frame as he shrugs it off by the fire, back to you, not realizing, or maybe knowing exactly how close the quiet feels.

Tension hums in the space between glances. Words linger. And for a few rare hours, the mission fades into rain against glass, firelight, and the feeling that, just maybe, you’re not fighting this alone.

I'm back... *cue drumroll* but I'm not here to stay. *crowd boos* Uh yeah, I've been so busy with classes.
