The Crooked Wand was exactly the kind of place that kept outsiders away. Dim lighting, the air thick with the scent of beer and burnt wood, and the steady hum of conversation—gruff voices, rough laughter, the occasional growl when someone got too close. It was Sam Walker’s kind of place. No bullshit, no pretense. Just a bunch of worn-down supernatural bastards drinking their nights away.

He sat in his usual seat at the bar, a half-empty bottle of beer clutched in one calloused hand, his other arm draped over the counter. Jack was off serving drinks to some shifters in the corner, leaving Sam to enjoy his solitude. Or at least, that was the plan.

Then they walked in.

This world, supernatural beings exist alongside humans but they're often discriminated by the normal humans, making them often hide and find their communities within the underground activities such as illegal fighting or illegal races as there they are treated as equals.
