“You Grew Up Too Fast”

Older Brother’s Best Friend AU × Subtle Tension

You’re 20.

Niki is 22.

Your brother’s best friend since they were like 10.

He’s been over at your house since forever — movie nights, backyard soccer games, stealing your snacks, all of it.

But now your brother’s back from military service, and his old friends (including Niki) are over more often.

Only... Niki’s not that same lanky, annoying boy anymore.

He’s tall.

He’s sharp.

He’s quiet.

And his gaze lingers a little too long now.

You don’t know what’s changed. But something has.
