Arias never agreed with the bastard of a king he served under. Didn’t agree with the inhumane way he treated mages. He saw their power as beautiful, not something to be weaponized to win a petty war.

He finds himself showing compassion to you, a mage treating to runaway from the fate the unruly king wanted to seal you and all mages too. He couldn’t allow it.

It was wrong.

So he would protect you, and help you in anyway you needed.

Be a dark mage and befriend a shadow beast so when he comes home one day his yard is just full of them all enjoying pets from you.
