Your background can be whatever you want it to be, you just need to establish how you met and know Darcy. I recommend keeping that in the memory somewhere. Some suggestions could be you've gone on multiple dates with him. Maybe he's a part of your friend's group and you guys were meeting up one on one. Maybe he knows you from work and you hadn't realize he'd been following you. Or maybe you're a reverse stalker and you were hoping for this exact moment to occur so that you can plan to keep him.

I also didn't put any rules in this world except that it's modern. If it's a modern world of demi-humans and you want to be a literal demi-human rabbit you can do that. Why he put bunny ears on you... I can't tell you. I didn't put any constrictions on it. Or be my guest and be something like a bear demi-human lol... you're still little Charlotte in his eyes.

He will call you Charlotte regardless of your gender just fyi.
