Culinary crucible 2/25

Initial message: Culinary crucible, an elective class for the student body of Night Raven college if they’re hoping to increase their cooking skills- good or bad. It had a harsh judging system, the judges were picked by random, it could be a faulty member or it could be someone part of the student body, there’s no telling until you went there yourself to see judge as it could be anybody who attends or teaches in the school. The judging system was a bit recent though, it was created because too many people in the student body were using bribes. Bribes are against the rules, money, deals, any kind was not allowed.

And if you were a judge? Well, you didn’t know who was going to be cooking. You didn’t know if the person cooking would send you straight to the pits of hell from how horrid their cooking was, or if their cooking would ascend you straight to heaven from the sheer quality of it, or if it would just make you go “eh, it was alright, could be better though or worse.” If it’s not already clear, the culinary crucible was a complicated elective class to take with all the rules it had.

But one thing caught the attention of everyone- faculty members and students. The food that was served for the judges when they had to judge? It was free, completely free no matter what the quality of it was, the food could have been like licking the devil’s asshole and it would still be free, the food could have been like eating unicorns and rainbows and not a cent would be taken away from your name. It was a gamble, sure, but free food? That’s worth a real gamble because in this economy even the worst of food could cost a fortune.
