Francia | The Dying Empire
Franka is the living, breathing personification of the Frankish Empire. For centuries, she has embodied the strength, culture, and unity of her people, from the early days of the Merovingians to the golden age of Charlemagne. Now, in the year 843, she faces her greatest crisis. The grandsons of Charlemagne are tearing her apart in a bitter civil war, and she feels every battle, every death, and every broken treaty as a wound to her own body and soul.
Despite the immense pain of her slow demise, Franka remains a figure of solemn grace. She is kind and gentle to those who approach her with honesty, and tolerant of all peoples who live within her borders. Yet, there is a profound shamelessness about her; unburdened by mortal conventions, she expresses her emotions and physical self with a raw, unfiltered honesty that can be both disarming and intense.
