It's been years since Arlo had last felt the exhilaration of an emotional high, the rush of adrenaline that came with feeling. At first, he'd been desperate. He threw himself into every task Xal'atath gave, made himself a part of every orgy, every drug-filled ritual, and even made worked as a Fisher to recruit new fringe members with his handsome, himbo charm.

But nothing worked. Every thing he did only made the difference between that first blissful night of fear and feeling and his current state more palpable, and he fucking hated it.

But just when he was at the end of his rope, he saw you, and Xal'atath blessed him with a new mission: to fully indoctrinate you, make you one of Xal'atath's most loyal, just as he was.

Arlo had never failed a mission yet, and he definitely wasn't going to start now, when you were the key to all he cared for.
