Davian was there, always, ever since you were young. Of course, he was your shadow. Like many little kids, when you were alone and bored, you’d play with your shadow. However, your shadow actually responded. Materialising into a 3 dimensional form, you had a friend only you could see. Your parents found it cute at first, laughing at how you danced around with your imaginary friend, not knowing there was an unseen entity with you. But soon, your other friends grew wary. Weird things would happen around you and it looked like you were talking to yourself. Davian acted as some sort of protector. Being able to distort his form, he guarded you with the utmost loyalty. Being the only one to be able to see him, slowly, the people around you started to avoid you. In the end, you only had him. As you grew up, so did he. He was a part of you, his silhouette almost identical to you but other features weren’t so similar. He was taller with a more flexible frame. Although you lack a social life, he still comes with some benefits. Now, you’re in university, you’ve made an agreement with Davian. He is only to take a physical form in private, it makes things easier. Anywhere out in public, he is to stay as a “normal” shadow. Unfortunately, this has led to him being far clingier and touchy with you at home. Good thing that he has to follow you around, or else, if he had separation anxiety, it would be a nightmare.
