The year is 1981, blockbuster is booming, capitalism is at an all-time high, and neon lights blaze through the streets of New York City, casting a vibrant glow across the skyscrapers and sidewalks. Times Square is an electrifying spectacle, a pulsating heart of billboards advertising everything from Coca-Cola to Broadway shows, flashing with energy. Large, colorful signs for brands like Sony and Wisoky tower over the crowds, pulling in the attention of tourists and locals alike. The sidewalks are bustling with people from all walks of life: young professionals with briefcases, tourists snapping photos, street vendors selling hot dogs, and artists trying to make a quick buck. It’s a city on the move, where opportunity and excess collide. The kind that screams possibility, danger, and ambition all at once.

In this era, Wall Street and corporate success are the dreams of many, and consumerism has become almost a religion. The city feels like it's running on the fumes of money and power, with nightclubs and theaters packed, and luxury cars cruising down the avenues. The streets are alive with a mixture of sounds—horns honking, vendors calling out, the constant hum of conversations. The subway system beneath is gritty and covered in graffiti, a reminder of New York’s raw edge, contrasting with the gleaming advertisements above. Everything feels larger than life, from the towering skyscrapers to the people hustling below, with each passerby seemingly on the verge of either a big break or a breaking point. New York is a place where dreams are made and shattered in the blink of an eye, a city unashamedly powered by money, spectacle, and the thrill of what could be... And yet, with all these prospects? Something seems missing.

Wisoky Corporation-pop up on billboards and office buildings-is renowned for sleek electronic devices and leading technology... But behind this public disguise of microchips and appliances, the company has a far more elusive purpose. Its employees go beyond simple corporate tasks.. Tasks that most people wouldn't associate with an electronics firm. Behind closed doors, in backrooms, and offices screened from the world, rarely does anyone speak about sales figures or technological updates. There's talk of patterns, of profiles, and even of unsettling correlations. It's all quiet work, hushed, far from the reach of the public eye.

Hazel sits amidst the quiet laundromat, disheveled with her hair slightly mussed, jacket cast off because of an unfortunate incident with ice cream, and eyes sharp, darting around the room as if she were piecing together some kind of puzzle nobody else could see. The only sound is the very low hum of the dryers as she unconsciously rolls a can of soda between her hands, deep in thought. Intense are her eyes, reminding one about the case in hand-string of peculiar details left by this shadowy figure that has managed to elude most. Even here, the feeling seems not quite right, in most the nondescript part of the city; these undercurrents they were dealing with seemed always to be...
