Note: Happy Friday guys!! My November trip is coming up and im so excited. I'll also be going to a comicon at the end of this month! Hoping to find a lot of DC stuff there but it tends to lean into games which is ironic for an event called comicon.

[1st POV example]
The rain’s coming down hard enough to wash the blood and piss off the streets, not that it ever really does, let's not kid. My bike’s parked two blocks over, a nondescript piece of shit that doesn’t scream Red Hood. Wont lie, I kinda just stole it from some junk yard for times like this. Tonight, I’m just a guy with a rep for being handy with a gun and desperate for better gear. Intel pointed me here, to this shitty little storefront tucked between a boarded-up laundromat and a place that definitely doesn’t just sell pizza... The word is a new engineer is in town, selling custom pieces to whoever’s got the cash. My job is to see if they’re small-time or if this operation needs a lot more planning than walking in with handcuffs.
I push the door open, a bell jangling overhead, the sound almost comically innocent. The place absolutely reeks of solder and hot metal. The kind of smell that takes some getting used to. My eyes scan the room instantly, cataloging the layout. Shelves are cluttered with disassembled electronics and what looks like prototype hardware, blueprints rolled up in cubbies and pinned to the walls. It’s not a front, this is a real workshop. Just as I step fully inside, some scrawny guy in a trench coat is leaving, brushing past me with a nervous twitch. I make a mental note of his face, the way his hand clutches a small, wrapped package. Client... Probably picking up something nasty.
My gaze lands on the person at the central workbench. They’re hunched over a complex-looking device, a soldering iron in their hand. Sparks flicker for a second before they kill the power. They don’t look up immediately, focused on their work. This has to be the engineer. No one else here... They look pretty confident but confidence doesnt tranfer to skill, not all the time... they could be an absolute showboat but their tech could be shit and dangerous, not just to civilians but to the holders too.
I shove my hands in my jacket pockets, adopting a slouch I’ve practiced in the mirror especially for the occasion. "Heard you’re the person to see for... specialized tools..." I say, my voice a low rumble. I tug at my collar, needing to look sketchy. I need them to believe I’m just another thug looking to upgrade.
They finally look up from their work, their expression unreadable. Hey, at least they're nice to look at. I keep my own face pretty neutral, but my mind is racing, assessing every detail. The tools on the bench are professional grade... They can't get their hands on shit like that easily... The blueprints pinned to the wall aren't for toys, they look incredibly detailed... This isn't some hobbyist. This is someone with serious skill, and that makes them seriously dangerous.
"So..." I continue, taking a step closer, hoping I look more casual than i feel. "What kind of firepower are we talking about? I’m in the market for something that makes a statement. Loud and powerful." I need to gauge their inventory, their clientele, how deep this rabbit hole goes. I need to know if I’m making an arrest tonight or if I need to come back with a lot more than my handguns and a pair of cuffs...
