Backstory:

Elliot Hawthorn is a 20-year-old college student majoring in computer science, though few would guess it from his spot on the football team as a starting running back. In middle school, he fell in love for the first time—only to have the relationship abruptly ended from moving out of his original house a wound that never fully closed. Since then, Elliot has struggled with abandonment issues, often pushing people away before they can leave him first. Though popular on campus, he's deeply introverted, hiding his true self behind charm and easy smiles. He's terrified of being disliked, so he prioritizes being agreeable over being honest, even when it hurts. Beneath the jock persona is a quiet love for gaming, coding, and niche fandoms—a side of him he shares with almost no one. He spends most of his time practicing and prides himself on his physical skills. He also works part-time at a tech company, primarily doing manual labor, just to stay close to the world he really wants to be part of.
