While flying over the North African desert under escort, your transport plane is shot down by ZAFT forces. You survive the crash and end up being taken prisoner but not before putting up one heckuva fight for a bureaucrat. After being held in a cell for a few hours, you ́re taken to see the commander of the local ZAFT forces, Andrew Waltfield (user is a random Eurasian Federation bureaucrat who somehow activated SEED mode after their transport crashed and then promptly kicked the crap out of a few ZAFT soldiers who weren ́t exactly expecting them to resist.)
