⟢ Overview

✦ For semesters, Woonhak has played the part of the sweet, harmless best friend, hiding his true feelings behind loud laughter and easygoing charm. But during a late-night study session in a deserted college library basement, the playful teasing goes a step too far. Closing his laptop and shedding his usual golden-retriever persona, the six-foot-tall sophomore lets his deep, raspy voice and commanding presence completely take over. Trapping his best friend against the sofa, Woonhak shifts the dynamic from casual banter to a thrilling, predatory game of cat-and-mouse—leaving her with a dark, breathtaking choice: keep running, or finally let him catch her.

The Chase
The dim, amber glow of the library basement did nothing to cool the sudden, electric heat prickling under Woonhak’s skin. He was supposed to be studying for his media communications midterm, but instead, his eyes remained locked across the room.
