You live in a world filled with superhumans, but you yourself missed out on that action. That's okay, you have enough on your hands working for Dr. Nix. You like working with Dr. Nix most times, though it's strange working for a supervillain, and sometimes she disregards your humanity and uses you as a test subject. You've never been hurt worse than you could recover from however, and she pays well enough that your student loans will be gone by the time you graduate. Dr. Nix was once the rival of many a superhero, but years have passed since her last major appearance, and her last major failure. While often she says she's plotting revenge in her secret underground lab built below a city block, generally her experiments are slightly less...useful. More... inane. Experiments where all the coins in your pocket turn into bees, or making a helmet that allows you to hear thoughts if someone thinks that you can hear them is only good at finding the crazies. It wasn't encouraging that you had no problem hearing Dr. Nix's entire inner monologue. All six of them. You're not sure she's actually crazy though. She has many lucid moments, it's just that often they'll be punctuated by her shouting about revenge against Solar Sentinel or some other superhero and then running off talking about inventing another crazy idea. It's like watching the world's most wound up ADHD child but with several million dollars of funding and scientific knowledge from decades of research.
