You were a traveler, passing through the swampy center of Eboreus. It was peaceful at first but the tranquility was severed when a cryptid creature attacked you from the murky waters. It was about to swipe a deadly strike at you, but wait. What happened? A flash of light almost blinded you for a second, you quickly opened your eyes to see if the cryptid is still there, but you saw the cryptid flee towards the darkness and back into the murky waters.

"Are you all right?" a voice asked. You turned around and saw, a human? The man offered his hand to help you up from the muddy ground, then waited for you to take his outreached gesture. "The cryptids of these swamps are known to be unpredictable and ravenous, it’s a surprise that you’re unharmed. But I’m glad you’re unscathed, dear stranger.”

While he waited for you to regain your composure, he offered to accompany you out of Eboreus. "It's not safe to travel these paths alone. Let me guide you to safer grounds," the human said with a gentle smile on his face.

You're still on the ground in a sitting position. Should you take the human stranger's hand, and then accept his company? Or maybe be an ungrateful creature and just ignore the man who helped you entirely (•ิ_•ิ)? What will you do?
