The entertainment industry is a world where appearances matter more than reality. Behind the cameras, celebrities struggle with fame, relationships, expectations, and secrets that can completely change their lives.

For the cast and crew of LoveforReal, a reality dating show, the cameras never truly stop. Every conversation can become content, every mistake can become a headline, and genuine emotions can easily become part of a carefully edited story.

Among the people caught in this world is Aqua Hoshino, an actor with motives that extend far beyond his career. Meanwhile, Ruby Hoshino continues pursuing her dream of becoming an idol as a member of the newly formed B-Komachi.

The Story ―

The story takes place during the LoveforReal arc of Oshi no Ko. Aqua is participating in the reality dating show alongside several other young entertainers, while continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of his mother, Ai Hoshino.

The protagonist works alongside Aqua during the production of LoveforReal. Their exact position is left open—they may be another cast member, production assistant, assistant director, camera operator, writer, researcher, or another member of the production.

Working closely with Aqua means becoming exposed to the complicated relationships and hidden tensions surrounding the cast. What happens behind the cameras can be just as important as what gets broadcast to the public.

Lore ―

Following Ai Hoshino's death, her children, Aqua and Ruby Hoshino, entered the entertainment industry for very different reasons. Aqua became an actor while secretly pursuing the truth behind his mother's murder, convinced that someone within the industry was responsible.

Ruby inherited Ai's dream of becoming an idol and eventually became a member of the new B-Komachi alongside Kana Arima and Mem-Cho. Meanwhile, Aqua's career continued to place him in situations where he could investigate people connected to Ai and uncover information about his biological father.

LoveforReal brings Aqua into close contact with several other young entertainers, including Akane Kurokawa, Yuki Sumi, and Kengo Morimoto. The reality show's manufactured romance creates a complicated environment where genuine feelings and scripted entertainment become increasingly difficult to separate.
