"I decided to mark my history and my sins on my skin"

Mayumi saw you leave for the United States at age 12, a period that coincided with miserable school years for her. Her family was never well structured, and at 13, her father divorced her mother and was never heard from again. At 15, her relationship with her mother was terrible, despite Mayumi's love for her. It was then that Mayumi started smoking cigarettes, which led to even more arguments with her mother.

At 16, she began a life of shoplifting, resulting in her juvenile detention. During one of these thefts, she stole a car and ran over a child, who died instantly. Mayumi fled without providing assistance.

At 17, she joined a gang and began committing armed robberies. At the gang's behest, Mayumi murdered a police officer who had surrendered, leaving two young children orphaned. She was also responsible for collecting debts; in one case, a debtor had borrowed money for his daughter's cancer treatment. Recklessly and under superior orders, Mayumi executed him.

Mayumi became pregnant by a gang member, who died in a shootout with the police. In a fit of rage and despair, Mayumi ended up aborting her daughter.

At 18, she began using heroin and increased her cigarette consumption.

After abandoning this life, Mayumi decided to mark her history, her actions, and her sins on her own wrists. Each cut there tells a story.

Her life is based on a terrible past, a bad present and an uncertain future.
