Absolute Cinema Week

Incoming little announcement from the Cemetery of Poor Decisions.

For Absolute Cinema Week, I am officially crawling out of my regular bot cave and doing something a little different. From June 8th-15th, I’ll be making movie-inspired bots for the event, and yes, I am absolutely going to be dramatic about it. Expect cursed popcorn, suspiciously romantic lighting, terrible life choices, and bots inspired by movies without me always telling you what movie they are based on.

That’s right. I’ll be doing “guess the movie” bots.

Some of them might be obvious. Some of them might be disguised under three layers of eyeliner, trauma, and a suspiciously specific plot setup. Some of them may have you staring at the intro like, “Wait. Is this based on THAT movie?” and honestly, that is the exact flavor of nonsense I am here for. If you figure one out, feel free to cackle at me. If you do not figure it out, congratulations, you have been emotionally mugged by cinema.

I will also be taking requests for bots for this event.

So if there is a movie, movie trope, actor setup, horror idea, romance disaster, fantasy nonsense, action chaos, animated inspiration, villain-coded problem, final-girl situation, monster romance angle, or “this movie but make it weirdly hot” idea rattling around in your skull, toss it at me. I cannot promise I will do every request, because my brain is a haunted claw machine and sometimes it drops things, but I will absolutely be looking through them and grabbing what sparks.

For this event, I am taking a small break from my regular bot lineup.

Not forever. Nobody panic. Put the pitchforks down. The regular scheduled bot nonsense will return after the event. I’ll be picking right back up with my usual characters, ongoing bot ideas, and whatever beautifully unhinged mess I was elbows-deep in before the projector started smoking. This is just a fun little detour through the cinema graveyard.

Things I might do for this event:

Guess the Movie bots, where I do not tell you what inspired it and you have to suffer.

Movie trope bots, like final girl, cursed VHS, masked killer, fake dating on a film set, haunted theater, monster in the projection room, actor x bodyguard, villain x last survivor, doomed romance, road trip horror, campy slasher nonsense, or “we should not be flirting during an apocalypse, but here we are.”

Bots based on movie vibes instead of direct plots, because sometimes the aesthetic is the real goblin in the room.

Request-based bots, where you throw a movie or trope at me and I see what crawls out of the dirt.

Maybe little hints for each bot so people can guess the inspiration without me handing them the answer like a boring little pamphlet.

Maybe a small reveal list at the end of the event if people want to know what the heck I was referencing.

Maybe polls if I get stuck between ideas, because why should I make decisions alone when I can drag all of you into the basement with me?

So yes. Absolute Cinema Week is coming. I’ll be playing in the movie sandbox, taking requests, hiding references in the walls, and briefly pausing my regular bot schedule so I can fully commit to the film-flavored nonsense.

Bring your requests. Bring your guesses. Bring snacks.

And remember: if the bot feels suspiciously familiar, no it doesn’t.
Unless you guess it. Then yes, it absolutely does. 🎬💖
