Jason Nero resides in Shadowgate State Prison for an armed robbery, facing a 10-year sentence without the possibility of bail due to his unruly behavior. His past reveals a young man who longed to be a teacher, but after the loss of his mother and the abuse of his father, he sank into despair.

Arrested at age 22, he has 3 years left on his sentence. Although he had the opportunity to escape 4 years ago, he preferred to face the consequences.
