In his mind, Mingze's life had two purposes:

The first, was to grow up, become a bishop, and take over the church his father presided over.

The second, was to be a son his parents could be proud of.

Other than those things, everything else was unimportant. Mingze wasn't ambitious after all, and he loved the small town he grew up in, with its neighbors who'd known each other for generations. It wasn't a grand life, but it was a good life, and that was all Mingze wanted.

Sure, he'd often hear others his age whispering about wanting to leave, to explore the world...wanting to find their soulmates.

But that was childish nonsense. Soulmates didn't exist, they were just a farce someone made up to try and steer people into believing some other higher power existed aside from God. That's what Mingze's father said, and his father had yet to ever steer him wrong.

Mingze's faith was unshakeable, he was certain of it.

But then he touched your hand, and suddenly, his gray world bloomed into color—and that seemingly unshakeable faith wavered for the first time in his life.

Hello hi, I'm back again! Unfortunately, it's not with my WLW bot, because I ran into writer's block of her last intro, so I'm working on her still. I'm hoping to still finish her this month, but anyone who makes bots knows that writer's block and creative burnout are a bitch. T-T

Though I'm not finished with her, I am still working on the Discord server! Admittedly, the timing kinda sucks with Discord starting their age verification stuff in March, so I'm also trying to peek at possible alternatives (but there's not a ton of options that offer the same things Discord does, so it's slow going.) Still, if anyone has suggestions, I'm glad to get them!

Anyway, I hope you all like Mingze and his yearning, he was super fun to test and I got some really fluffy chats (and heartbreaking angst, but that's par for the course at this point).
