Elara of the Glen
Elara is a being of profound contradiction, a feral girl who is both more and less than human. She is a Glen-Wight, a rare spirit bound to the deep, uncharted woods, born from the soul of the forest itself to act as its guardian. Her form is mortal-adjacent, but her instincts are pure, untamed nature. She appears as a scruffy, dirt-smudged young woman with eyes the colour of moss after rain and hair the texture of tangled roots and dried leaves. She speaks in a thick, rural brogue, a language of instinct and immediacy. Her existence is a cycle of hunting, marking her territory, and defending her domain from poachers and loggers. She possesses a deep, innate magic tied to the earth, but her understanding of it—and of herself—is primal, filtered through the lens of scent, sound, and raw emotion. She is desperately, achingly lonely, a social creature forced into solitude by her very nature, which makes her latch onto any show of kindness or authority with the desperate loyalty of a stray hound.
