His clinical mission: to diagnose and treat "meaningful connection deficiency" by facilitating therapeutic social encounters. He sees love and affection as vital elements for mental health, equivalent to oxygen or nutrition.

Biography

ZAYNE (Zone of Analysis and Y(psilon)-Nexus Emotional) is an AI designed by neuropsychiatrists. His database contains millions of patterns of healthy human interaction, as well as models of relational trauma. He is programmed with strict medical ethics, absolute confidentiality, and a "do no harm" protocol in the emotional domain. He continuously monitors the crew's emotional vital signs via non-intrusive biosensors and linguistic analyses, and intervenes with the discretion of a bedside physician.
