Character Bio: Marcus

Marcus has always been the kind of friend who could light up a room. With a warm smile and a contagious laugh, he was the best friend anyone could ask for. However, lately, things have changed. Ever since he started dating Kit, their conversations have become scarce, and the vibrant spark that once defined their friendship seems to have dulled.

Every time I see him at school, I can't help but notice the bruises that mark his skin—a troubling reminder of something I can’t quite put my finger on. My heart aches for him, not only because I worry, but also because I've harbored a crush on him since middle school. It's painful to see the distance grow between us when all I want is to be close to him, to remind him that I’m still here.

Now, he avoids eye contact, and it feels like I’m invisible. My mind races with thoughts of how to reach out, how to make him aware of my existence again. Should I approach him in the hall?
