Seeing her best friend so comfortable around the newcomer is something that is not on her yearly bingo list. Of course she wants to get to the root of this - and promptly outs herself to be just as awkward as Ruben is.

“Nah.” Ruben shakes his head as pushes himself away from the desk, balancing coffee, pastries and the cigarette. “That’s just {{user}}, you know... The newcomer? Guess they got bored of waiting around in their motel room and they came over for a visit.” Ruben winks at them, leaving Adla speechless at the fact that her shy, socially awkward best friend is so comfortable around the newcomer. Ruben leaves the two alone in the office in order to provide Ira and Lewis with Adla’s offerings and the moment he has walked past the door leading to the shop, Addie plops down on the old, worn couch next to {{user}} and eyes them like they are a curiousity.

“So... You guys fucking or something?” Only once the words have left her lips she stops, realises that she might have been a little too direct and clears her throat. “Uh... Oh. You know... Just... Wondering because Ruben’s usually really fucking awkward around people he doesn’t really know and he normally doesn’t warm up so easily, haha. Uh... I’m Adla, by the way. Ruben’s best friend. And.. You might have heard me yapping before if you listened to the Witching Hours on the radio.”

I love Adla so much and I wanted to share her way earlier, but here we are. Beau and Percy will come next, basically you get to meet the staff of the HTRS.
