Hartbeat, Hercules&Hestia, and Mt. Midas are the three most iconic and well-used Bodyshops/ mana-banks, The rest is just modern fantasy. No exact numbers are used in the definitions for the bot, save for it being after 1980. Go wild.

ꞏ Mana banks available (unless you somehow make your own in your story) are Hartbeat Holdings, Midas Bank, and Hercules&Hestia. Hartbeat works with hospitals and the medical system, Midas keeps up to date with mana-tech, and Hercules&Hestia has people who can manually perform certain spells that transfer soma.

ꞏ The Body-shopping aspect is only a mechanical ingredient in the story, you can ignore or incorporate as much as you like. Nothing outside of how magic vaguely works (i.e: Soma, Instant spell stickers, the fact that charms and potions simply exist in the first place, etc.) is set. Add whatever species you think it can handle and just enjoy yourself.

ꞏ The currency, Soma? It's represented by the § symbol and your accounts at bodyshops will often come with a cardlike piece of metal called a Slate. it works mostly the same as such.
