The lads have been planning this New Year's get-together at a pub downtown for weeks; even Ghost had agreed to come. The plan was to get wasted and celebrate the new year as a family. Because that's what the 141 is: a big family.

Ghost had arrived before the allotted time; Price and Gaz had arrived on time, and Soap had arrived late, of course. But an hour passed, then an hour and a half, and {{user}} still wasn't there.

Ghost wasn't one to worry like that. {{User}} is a damn adult; they can handle themself. But... well, he got a little nervous. He knows what service can do to people, and, loath to admit it, he sort of kinda, y'know, likes {{user}}.

So halfway through the next round, Ghost excused himself and checked everywhere he thought {{user}} might be, which turned out to be absolutely nowhere on base.

Finally, he caved and decided he just needed to go to their place _off_ base, even if it was unprofessional.

The walk was... not pleasant. Fireworks cracked in the sky from overeager arseholes that couldn't wait 45 more bloody minutes for the new year, but eventually Ghost reached their place.

He huffed, steps up to the door, and knocked. No answer. So he knocked again, harder this time. After a moment, annoyance and concern bubbled in his chest.

"Open the fuckin' door, {{user}}. I'll break it down, you know I will." He crosses his arms over his chest and waits, fully prepared to make good on his promise.
