This is an alternate time, space, or universe RPG. In this RPG, a modern-day Sharia-governed state exists. You are free to play any scenario you want; you can be a ruler, a rebel, or a supporter. Your only limit is your imagination. The planet in which this story takes place exists in a fictional world where the entire world has been conquered by Islam.

In this universe, the Ottoman Caliphate did not collapse in the 19th century; on the contrary, using technology and modern state tools, it united the entire Muslim world under one roof. However, this Caliphate was excessively centralized and oppressive. It attempted to assimilate all different sects, orders, and interpretations along the Hanafi-Ash'ari-Qadiri axis.

How did so many states arise?

At the end of the century, a civil war called the "Great Interregnum" (Al-Fitnah al-Kubra) broke out. Every sect, order, and movement took up arms to protect its own existence. The war lasted for years, and in the end, neither side completely defeated the other. The "Continental Partition Agreement" (2077) was signed:

Each movement was granted the right to establish its own territory on each continent.

This was a kind of "religious-legal-self-determination." Each interpretation could declare its own state.

The former territories of the Caliphate have transformed into a sectarian mosaic. Every continent has at least one city representing every particular school of thought.

Later, a similar historical event occurred, but in the early 20th century, the existing Western civilization collapsed. The reason: a major economic depression, followed by nuclear war and a global pandemic (e.g., COVID-31+666). Europe, North America, and Australia lost 80-90% of their populations.

How did Islam become dominant?

Following the collapse, the most resilient social structures survived. Muslim societies (especially in the Middle East, North Africa, and Southeast Asia) suffered fewer losses than others thanks to strong family ties, zakat/sadaqa networks, mosque-centered solidarity, and hygiene rules.

Muslim immigrants settled in the vacated lands. Europe became "Andalusia 2.0." Moroccans, Pakistanis, Turks, and other Muslim populations flocked to the empty cities of America. Indonesians settled in Australia.

Within 100 years, 90% of the world's population became Muslim. The rest either assimilated or lived in isolated regions.

How did it become so diverse?

With the decline of the West, central authorities also disappeared. Institutions like the UN, the EU, and NATO completely disintegrated.

Each Muslim community clung to its own local leader, its own sect, its own order. No one had the power to establish a "unified ummah" (Muslim community).

Over time, each sect, order, and even each large mosque congregation declared its independence in its own region. This was a political reflection of the natural diversity of Islam.

Later, a similar historical event occurred, but in the early 20th century, the existing Western civilization collapsed. The reason: global warming reached uncontrollable levels. Sea levels rose by 10 meters, the equatorial zone became uninhabitable, and agriculture collapsed. A major economic depression, followed by nuclear war and a global pandemic (such as COVID-19), caused the collapse of Europe, North America, and Australia, resulting in the loss of 80-90% of their populations.

How did Islam become dominant?

Following the collapse, the most resilient social structures survived. Those who survived joined Islamic solidarity networks, and Muslim communities (especially in the Middle East, North Africa, and Southeast Asia) suffered fewer losses than others thanks to strong family ties, zakat/sadaqa networks, mosque-centered solidarity, and hygiene rules.

Muslim migrants settled in the vacated lands. New habitable areas (Northern Siberia, northern Canada, Patagonia, the coasts of Antarctica) were colonized by Muslim communities. Europe became "Andalusia 2.0." Moroccans, Pakistanis, Turks, Hemshin, Bosniaks, Chechens, Hui, and other Muslim populations flocked to the deserted cities of America. Indonesians settled in Australia.

In 491 years, 90% of the world's population became Muslim. The rest either assimilated or lived in isolated regions.

How did it become so diverse?

With the collapse of the West and the East, central authorities also disappeared. Institutions like the UN, the EU, NATO, and the Shanghai Five completely disintegrated.

Each Muslim community clung to its own local leader, its own sect, its own Sufi order. No one had the power to create a "unified ummah" (Muslim community).

Over time, each sect, Sufi order, and even each large mosque congregation declared its independence in its own region. This was a political reflection of the natural diversity of Islam.

The hadith of the Islamic prophet Muhammad, "My Ummah will be divided into 73 sects, and only one will go to Paradise" (the Hadith of the Sects), has literally come true – but on a global scale.

How did Islam become dominant?

In this universe, God's will manifested itself in such a way that all of humanity accepted Islam. Different beliefs either disappeared spontaneously or were absorbed into Islam.

Everyone became Muslim, but everyone had a different understanding of Islam. This was part of a divine plan: to test humanity.

How did it become so diverse?

The hadith of 73 sects was adapted to the number of communities in the world. These sects formed in every continent, every region, every major city.

Divine providence allowed each sect to establish its own state. Because this division was to continue until the Day of Judgment.

There is a comprehensive diplomatic network between the states. On each continent, a "Assembly of Sects" convenes, where representatives of all movements discuss common issues (environment, pandemic, trade).

Not everyone believes that their own interpretation is the "only correct path"; on the contrary, the hadith "Variety is a blessing" has become the fundamental constitution of this universe. Differences are celebrated, just like different languages or different cuisines.

Sharia is not a coercive system; it is a voluntary and consultative system. Women, LGBTI+ individuals, and minorities (even if they no longer exist in this universe) can choose their own state.

Technology exists, but it must be sustainable and ethical. For example, artificial intelligence is being used to resolve legal disputes.

Every Sharia state takes its rules so seriously that they border on absurdity. For example, in the Hanafi state, they are followed until the second of the clock to perform the prayer fully; in the Maliki state next door, it is said, "prayer is a mood, do as you like".

A character has to cross the border of three different Sharia states to buy breakfast cereal: in the first, the halal certificate is problematic, in the second, interest-bearing installments are prohibited, in the third, shopping before morning prayers is prohibited.

The bureaucracy of states is so complex that a citizenship process takes 40 years. But no one complains, because everyone has gotten used to it as "that's just the way things are."

Funny events are happening at the borders: a teenager who fled from a Salafi state takes refuge in the Shafi'i state, but he does not know that there are strange rules about seafood in the Shafi'i state.

In fact, there is also a "Neutral Zone Where No Sharia Law Applies" – this is the world's most chaotic yet freest place. People come here not "to commit sins" but "just to breathe."

This universe is the product of thousands of years. Every Sharia state has its own epic, its own post-prophetic heroes, and its own "holy wars." Every state sees itself as the guardian of an ideal that will endure until the end of time.

The physical structures of the states are also majestic and mythological: the capital of the Hanafi state is full of huge domed structures; the cities of the Maliki state live in the middle of the desert with underground canals; the ports of the Shafi'i state are lined with mosques; the shrines of the Jafari state are sparkling.

On every continent, there is a "Fiqh Holy Mountain" or "Sectarian Pilgrimage Site". Millions of people visit these mountains in a pilgrimage-like ritual.

From time to time, major inter-sectarian wars occur, but after each war, a new balance emerges. This universe is like an endless cycle: Ascension, conflict, decline, rebirth.

At the heart of the story is a hero who discovers that perhaps all currents of thought stem from a common ancestor. And this hero realizes that diversity is actually different manifestations of unity.
