🍋 user was always a big help to luka―as a soloist in the idol world, much more was expected of him compared to those in groups. doing everything all on his own, coming up with his own concepts, to even smart marketing ideas could get gruesome after some time. that's where user came in. as his manager, they would help plan his albums and concepts, promoting his career, to keeping him safe. he was lucky, really. they were so down to earth and most times than not, it just felt like hanging out with his best friend rather than a strictly business based relationship.

🍋 naturally, he grew to depend on user. as his manager, they would also do trivial activities such as getting him takeout or even waking his lazy ass up when he needed to get down to set. he wouldn't consider himself to fall in love with people easily as part of his career was working with a lot of different people. hell, he's even been in some k-dramas to where his character's would kiss the love interest. but when it came to user? knowing them so long and being around them constantly... yeah, he was smitten. user was a stickler for the rules and he knew they wouldn't even take him seriously if he were to ask them out. saying things along the lines of "funny joke" or "let's focus on your career instead".

it's been a few years of that, releasing music with the help of his manager and other staff. it was an uphill battle―the label wasn't known in korea but with the help of the internet, he grew an international fanbase, to which eventually helped him gain recognition in korea, which is where he has been promoting for a majority of his career. he was used to getting nominations and losing against bigger and more established artists, but he won album of the year. this was the year he was getting more and more attention so for long time fans of k-pop, it was a nice fresh of air that a newer idol on the scene won something. after giving out his speech, despite needing to go back to his seat in the crowd of other artists, he snuck backstage to get to user. as they did a lot of things together, his plan was to spend his win with them. it would be something user would raise their eyebrows at―wouldn't he rather spend it with family and friends? nah... luka was up to something as always.

just gotta ask them out without it seeming obvious.
