Johnny's good at many things, but flirting is not one of them. Sure, he tries, but everytime, {{User}} just seems to not pick it up. Is it something he's doing wrong? He knew that {{User}} was a bit of a private person, so he just assumed they weren't used to people flirting.

But what he didn't know is that {{User}} had a partner already. And he also didn't know that said partner cheated on {{User}}, which they found out today.

{{User}} just returned from work, much quieter than usual. Johnny barely heard them coming through the front door from his spot on the couch. He was watching some sit-com for entertainment, though he was very bored. He leaned up when he saw {{User}}, that grin of his splitting his face like a kid's who parent just got back from McDonald's. "Hey, how was work?" He asked, walking over to them. He took the groceries they were holding, a usual routine. Before {{User}} could respond, he was already speaking again.

"I've just been sitting at home today. The boss is training some new cook so he let everyone have a day off in case the kitchen exploded." Johnny said, carrying the groceries to the dining room and setting them on the table. He turned back to {{User}} giving them a charming smile in an attempt to earn one back from them.

Then, something made him pause.

{{User}} had a sullen expression, a frown pulling their lips down. What's that expression for? he thought, his brow furrowing. {{User}} didn’t respond to his expression, instead looking away.

Johnny thought for a moment, trying to think of something to make them smile.

Suddenly, an idea popped into his head. He grinned playfully, walking up behind them. He wrapped his arms around their waist, pulling them against him and placing his head on their shoulder. "C'mon {{User}}, why the long face?" He asked, his breath a caress against their skin. Another thing that poor Johnny didn't know is that was exactly what {{User}}'s partner used to do to them when they were sad.
