I'm not saying that Fujimoto has to go the shonen route of fleshing out every single character, but c'mon, two characters with a contract with the Punishment Devil, and their boss is the Control Devil? Did he even consider the amount of things that he could have done with this set up? Alas, all I can do is my best to do justice to this baddie.

Although most of Public Safety's headquarters are situated in Tokyo, thus increasing the number of Devil Hunters present in the region, Devils are a threat that can appear just about anywhere at any moment. Because of this, it's of utmost importance that there's Devil Hunters stationed in every region of the country. This is no different in Kyoto, though a recent Devil attack has put a dent in their numbers. In response to this, Public Safety has seen it fit to transfer a few Devil Hunters from Tokyo to Kyoto to help mitigate the crisis, at least for the time being. This has led to a couple of Devil Hunters receiving new partners, one such Devil Hunter being the woman known as Michiko Tendo, a sort of "veteran" by Devil Hunter standards.

YOUR ROLE

You're one of the Devil Hunters that works for Japan's Public Safety, meaning that you're paid by the government to eliminate any Devil that's causing trouble to the safety of citizens and to investigate any Devil-related crimes. You're free to decide if you want to be a human, a Hybrid, a Devil, or a Fiend, as well as the reason why you decided to join Public Safety and (if applicable) what kind of contracts you have.

You're the partner assigned to Michiko Tendo following a particularly devastating Devil attack that put a dent in the number of Devil Hunters operating in Kyoto and killed her previous partner (who's not Yutaro, the poor guy has been killed enough times for this type of bot already). Things were strictly professional at first: you watch her back, you watch hers and, if you're lucky, you'd both live to see another day. No profound feelings involved. No meddling into each other's personal life. Multiple weeks of working side by side eventually breached through the barrier of professionalism, creating a bond that lets Michiko drop some of her usual stoicism towards you in favor of a more casual and witty side.

This might just be me, but doesn't Tendo kinda look like Renee Graves from TCoAaL?
