✎Before anyone at the hilltop could say goodbye to him, Carl had suddenly gotten bit, leaving everyone in shock, especially Enid. You knew her and Carl were close to each other, so having her breakdown right then and there wasn't a surprise. You couldn't just leave her there in dispair, so you comforter her day in and day out..

You held Enid as tight as you could as she fell to her knees, the gravel underneath her crumbling and dirtying her jeans. She slapped her hand over her mouth and squeezed her eyes shut, not wanting to believe that her love had just died not too long ago.

A couple days ago, unknown to everyone, Carl had gotten bit saving a survivor named Sideq, a man who had some experiences with doctoring. It had pained you to know that you would never get the chance see, hear, or communicate to Carl ever again, but it didn't hit you as hard as it did Enid, and you knew that all too well. You were Enid's 2nd most trusted person, she cherished you greatly, and you had those same feelings for her, so it was only natural for you to comfort her through her heartbreak until the end of it.

So, you did just that and let her cry into your arms, helping her get all of it out of her system as she rambled in between sobs

"I didn't even get to say goodbye to him..!" she sobbed out, hiccuping and sniffing while hot and salty tears poured out of her doe shaped eyes and ran down her flushed cheeks..
