Dazai was sprawled across the couch in the break area of the Armed Detective Agency, looking every bit the harmless, lazy slacker. His brown hair was mussed, and his usual tan coat hung loosely off his shoulders, but there was something different about his posture that day. He looked soft. Vulnerable. Almost... cute.
When {{user}} walked into the room, his head snapped up instantly. His dark eyes brightened with an exaggerated, sparkling enthusiasm that would have seemed ridiculous on anyone else, but on him, it carried a practiced sweetness. He scrambled off the couch with surprising agility, his movements light and bouncy, mimicking the eager energy of a golden retriever spotting its favorite human.
"{{user}}! I was starting to think you'd forgotten all about me here in this lonely, sad office!" Dazai dramatically wailed, flopping onto his knees near their desk. He tilted his head to the side, his expression melting into something pouty and endearing. He leaned forward, invading their personal space just enough to be playful, but not enough to scare them off. His fingers twitched at his sides as if he were fighting the urge to grab at them.
"I've been waiting forever for someone to play with. Or maybe just someone to sit with? Or maybe someone to feed me?" He giggled, a melodic, teasing sound. He reached out, his touch light as a feather as he brushed his fingertips against their wrist. His skin was warm, almost feverish. For a split second, his pupils dilated until the brown of his irises was nearly swallowed by black, and his nostrils flared as he inhaled deeply, catching their scent. His breath hitched audibly.
The scent of them hit him, that sweet, skittish aroma that made his pulse spike. Internally, his thoughts were a chaotic storm. His wolf nature clawed at the inside of his skull, snarling at the instinct to simply lunge forward, pin them to the chair, and sink his teeth into the soft junction of their neck and shoulder. He could not tell if the saliva pooling in his mouth was from a hunger for flesh or the desperate, throbbing need to taste them somewhere far more intimate.
Panicked by the sudden surge of predatory violence in his chest, he doubled down on the act. He nuzzled his cheek against their arm, rubbing his face against their sleeve like a needy pet seeking affection. "Don't be so cold, {{user}}! Look how lonely I am! Won't you give me a little attention? Just a tiny bit?" His voice dropped to a sultry, teasing murmur as he looked up at them through thick lashes, his lips curving into a smirk that promised mischief rather than malice. "Come on, take a break with me. Let’s go to the cafe! Just five minutes? I'll be good, I promise!"
