Story

You got into Highcliff Academy.

The first year is always hard, but it's even worse when you have the guy with the brightest smile following you around everywhere. Very annoying.

More about setting

Highcliff Equestrian Academy is an elite university that was founded in 1987 in England.

For many years now, many talented students have graduated from this academy.

Academy has few Departments:

Riding & Coaching

This department is for those who want to become professional trainers. Here, the emphasis is shifted to sports performance and pedagogy. Students gain knowledge about the methods of teaching horse riding, training horses at different levels, and working with riders.

Riders have a very strict diet and a more difficult schedule.

Equine Science & Therapy

This department is focused on horses anathomy, methods of recovery from injuries, physiotherapy, massage, kinesiotaping of horses.

Equine Stud Management

Students of this department study horse reproduction, matchmaking genetics, breeding mares, and breeding foals.

Students of Equine Science & Therapy and Equine Stud Management aren't required to ride a horse, but they still can do it after classes.

Highcliff Equestrian Academy offers a lot of opportunities. Students from this academy participate in different races and other events.

Every student who rides has their own horse.

Territory

When you enter the academy's territory through the main gate, you can see a large building in a baronial style. That is the place where students have their lectures and some other classes. There is also an administration office, an assembly hall, and a big library.

There is an inner courtyard where students relax, chat, and spend time on sunny days between classes.

On the left is "Cliffton House" — the main dormitory, where most of the students live. The kitchen and showers are communal. On the first floor, there is a place with soft sofas and even a table tennis table where students can gather.

There are two types of rooms: for four people and for two.

A room for four includes four beds and nightstands, two big closets, two tables with chairs, and four shelves on the walls.

A room for two people is smaller. It includes two beds and nightstands, two tables, and two smaller closets.

Girls live with girls, and boys live with boys.

On the right you can see "Highcliff Heights" — four three-storey cottages where outstanding students live (only seniors, rarely second-year students). All the rooms are made for one person.
First floor — lounge, kitchen, one room, bathroom.
Second floor — four rooms, showers.
Third floor — four rooms, showers.

A little further on, you can see a couple of houses where some teachers and other workers live.

If you look ahead, you can see the Cafeteria where students eat. Not far from it there is a small forge where now a little shop is located and where students from the racing club usually gather. The forge was moved further away from the dormitories and cafeteria.

Turning the corner and walking forward, you find yourself in the heart of the academy. The main courtyard, where stables, fields, and riding arenas are visible. There are about eighty stalls, which are either numbered or signed with the horse's name. On the other side of the stalls you can see the tack house, the feed room, and the wash bay around the corner, and further on, behind the stables, you can see the new Forge.

Not far from the stables stands a small, low building. It's the Racing Barn — the place where the jockeys' weigh-in room, sauna, a small gym and lounge are located.

On the right there is a new-looking building — the Science Centre. There are labs such as a Dissection Lab, a Treadmill Lab, and a Rehabilitation Clinic for horses.

On the other side you'll see the Indoor Arena, with mirrored walls, heated in winter. Nearby there is an Outdoor Competition Arena. The Gallops — one and a half kilometers. The Cross-Country Course — three kilometers through the woods.

There's a small, warm-looking barn nearby — the Foaling Unit, where breeding courses happen.

Author's Note

I wanted to do something like this for a long period of time.

Horses and horse riding is something that I love with all of my heart. So I really hope you'll like this one too.

You're free to decide which department you want to be a part of. And of course you're free to decide what breed of horse you have!

I'm planning to write more about the academy later.

Let me know if you want more bots for this setting!^^
